KatadataOTO –  A used Chery Omoda 5 can be an alternative for those of you looking for a 5-seater vehicle that is larger than a city car.

For comparison, a small 5-seater car like the Honda Brio RS is currently offered at around Rp 250 million.

Based on KatadataOTO's search on Monday (01/09), the price of a used Chery Omoda 5 from 2023, the highest trim, has dropped to below Rp 300 million.

Before its facelift version was introduced, the Chery Omoda 5 was launched at a price of Rp 399 million.

One unit is offered by a seller for Rp 260 million, a drop of Rp 136 million from its initial price at its 2023 launch.

According to the seller's description on a used car marketplace, the Chery used Omoda 5 RZ, the highest variant, has an odometer reading of around 26,000 kilometers.

The car is also claimed to be in good condition as it has always been regularly serviced at an official Chery dealership.

Another seller is even offering it at a lower price of Rp 235 million. It is a 2023 model with an odometer reading of 35,000 kilometers.

It should be noted that Chery has now launched a facelift version of the crossover SUV, but at a lower price. Its name has also changed, without the Omoda suffix.

Although the offered price is attractive, this price tag makes consumers worry about its resale value in the used car market.

“The price of used cars (Chinese cars) will definitely be affected (it will go down). The important thing is not to hold on to the unit for too long,” said Andi, owner of the Jordy Mobil showroom at MGK Kemayoran, to KatadataOTO on Monday (01/09).

He revealed that he no longer stocks cars made in China for that reason.
