VInfast and Amarta will build a showroom network throughout Indonesia to meet the needs of the community.
KatadataOTO – The electric car manufacturer from Vietnam, Vinfast, continues to expand its business in Indonesia. Most recently, they have established a partnership with Arimbi Amartapura (Amarta).
The collaboration between the two parties is to build a network of outlets in several major cities. In the next two years, dozens of facilities will be available to serve consumers.
“Today we are pleased to announce that Vinfast and Amarta Group will build 22 showrooms in cities like Jakarta and Bandung between 2025 and 2027,” said Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of Vinfast in Jakarta (20/03).
It was further stated that their collaboration is not only to expand Vinfast's business, but also to create a green transportation ecosystem in the country.
It was also mentioned that the outlets will be built across Batam, Bali, Surabaya, Bandung, Cirebon, Jakarta, Medan, and Makassar.
“We believe that partnering with Vinfast is the right choice, so that we can further develop and promote more environmentally friendly green transportation,” said Angga Prawira Awang, CEO of Arimbi Amartapura at the same event.
In addition to building a showroom network, the collaboration is also said to be focused on developing electric car infrastructure in the country.
They will ambitiously build hundreds of thousands of charging stations in Indonesia. This reflects Vinfast's success in its home country.
“We will create an ecosystem in Indonesia. For charging stations, we will build 100,000 units, with a target of 30,000 for this year alone,” Pan later explained.
As is known, the competition for electric cars in Indonesia is heating up, especially after the entry of several new brands from China.
A price war for EVs (Electric Vehicles) in Indonesia is inevitable. Therefore, each brand must highlight its advantages.
Vinfast itself has a charging service called V-Green. It is spread throughout Vietnam, making it easy for people there to recharge.
The above concept will be applied in Indonesia. And this method will be a differentiator from other electric car brands.
“One of the strategic keys to Vinfast's success in Vietnam is its charging stations. Therefore, the same strategy will be applied in Indonesia,” said Davy J Tuilan, Sales & Network Director of Vinfast Indonesia.
