VinFast Minio Green Market Tested, Price Expected Under IDR 150 Million

KatadataOTO – VinFast wants to try its luck again in the compact electric car market. Recently, they showcased the Minio Green at GJAW 2025.

The Electric Vehicle (EV) captured the attention of visitors at the automotive exhibition held at ICE BSD, Tangerang.

"So, we are testing the market first, gathering some feedback," said Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto, CEO of VinFast Indonesia today, Saturday (22/11).

Kariyanto revealed that they want to gauge the public's interest in the VinFast Minio Green.

They then plan to conduct research to find the right price for this compact electric car.

"The most important thing is that we also look at the competition. What it's like in this segment, because usually at events like this, many brands launch new products," he continued.

The EV manufacturer does not want to be hasty in marketing the VinFast Minio Green. Because there are many things to consider.

So that later the four-wheeled vehicle can be well-received. And then get a positive response from consumers.

As a reminder, the VinFast Minio Green has been registered on the official DJKI website for some time.

This was noted in the Official Industrial Design Gazette No. 32/DI/2025, and was announced on May 27, 2025.

The application number is A00202502638, while the design applicant is listed as VinFast Trading and Production Joint Stock Company Dinh Hu in Vietnam.

It should be noted that the VinFast electric car is equipped with a 20 kW electric motor, equivalent to 26 Hp. It also has a peak torque of 65 Nm.

The VinFast Minio Green carries an 18.5 kWhh battery. It is claimed to be able to travel up to 210 km on a single charge.

Meanwhile, the price of the VinFast Minio Green will also be very competitive. It is even confirmed to be below the VF3's price tag.

So it is hoped that the public will be interested in buying this EV. So that it can achieve success like other products in the country.

“The VinFast VF3 with a battery subscription is now Rp 156 million, with a promo it's Rp 152 million. Of course, the Minio will be below that,” he concluded.

If all goes smoothly, the VinFast Minio Green will be marketed to consumers in the first half of 2026. So, the arrival of this compact electric car is worth waiting for.

“That's the plan, but as for when (the launch time), we will announce it later,” Kariyanto concluded.
