KatadataOTO – VinFast brought several new products to GJAW 2025. Ranging from the Limo to the Minio Green.
Both electric cars were displayed to entice visitors at ICE BSD, Tangerang until Sunday (30/11).
However, the Vietnamese manufacturer is not only targeting general consumers. They are also aiming for fleet collaboration opportunities.
"The Green is actually used for commercial needs, for example, like the VinFast Limo Green," said Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto, CEO of VinFast Indonesia at GJAW 2025 some time ago.
According to Kariyanto, VinFast continues to strive to strengthen the Electric Vehicle (EV) ecosystem in the country.
One way is by expanding their commercial vehicle portfolio, through the Green-coded series.
The Green series is claimed to be presented to meet the needs of taxi fleets, ride-hailing services, and company operational vehicles.
"The family will have several variants, some for commercial or taxi use. There are also ones for retail," he concluded.
Indeed, the potential for electric taxi fleets in Indonesia is still very large. Because it is believed to bring benefits to taxi companies.
For instance, lower operational costs. Then, electric cars also offer energy efficiency and simpler maintenance compared to conventional vehicles.
"This (VinFast Minio Green) can also be an alternative for, for example, ride-hailing or app-based taxis," Kariyanto continued.
He believes that using the VinFast Limo and Minio Green for taxi fleets is increasingly relevant for operators.
The VinFast executive also assessed that the Limo and Minio Green could become the taxi fleet for their group, namely Green SM.
"We'll see later which fleet Green SM needs. Basically, we are ready, because we hope Green SM is not just a taxi service and has its application," Kariyanto affirmed.
As a reminder, in the Vietnamese market, the VinFast Limo Green is equipped with a 60.17 kWh capacity battery.
It is claimed to be able to travel up to 470 km (NEDC) on a single charge.
It should be noted that the VinFast electric car is equipped with a motor producing 20 kW or the equivalent of 26 hp. It also has a peak torque of 65 Nm.
Meanwhile, the VinFast Minio Green carries an 18.5 kWh capacity battery. It is capable of traveling up to 210 km on a single charge.
