VinFast claims to have prepared various special strategies to develop the vehicle market in Indonesia.

KatadataOTO – Unlike other car manufacturers, VinFast is considered quite aggressive in the country. They are not only focused on product sales, but are also developing other business lines to support their presence in Indonesia.
After selling products as CBU, they have now inaugurated a factory located in Subang, West Java. This facility stands on a 171-hectare plot of land and is capable of producing at least 5,000 units per year.
“Not all electric car manufacturers in Indonesia have their own factories. This production facility demonstrates a long-term commitment to growing in this country,” said Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto, CEO of VinFast Indonesia (15/12).
Not only that, they have also built a number of charging station facilities. The number has even reached thousands of units throughout Indonesia.
“We have a sister company called V-Green that has built around 2,000 charging stations. VinFast doesn't want to wait for infrastructure to be provided by others, but builds it themselves so that these electric cars can be accepted even in remote areas,” he later added.
Interestingly, this facility can be enjoyed for free by VinFast customers in Indonesia until March 2028. Thus, the vehicle's operational costs will be lower.
To provide peace of mind regarding resale value, VinFast has also provided a buyback guarantee. The value is also designed to remain profitable for customers.
“For customers who want to sell their vehicle back within six months, the unit will be valued at 90 percent. Meanwhile, if the unit is three years old, its resale value is still 70 percent,” he affirmed.
Then, they also continue to present the Green SM taxi company. With this, the public can directly experience the comfort of an electric car even if they don't own one yet.
The comprehensive services provided by VinFast are expected to overcome the public's doubts and concerns about switching to electric cars.
“So, that is our strategy. Because we have invested so much, there is now only one option: we must succeed and grow with Indonesia,” he concluded.
