KatadataOTO – VinFast VF 6 has been officially launched in Indonesia. Even consumers can already place orders for this electric car

VinFast claims that their Electric Vehicle (EV) has been well-received by domestic consumers.

The Vietnamese company claims to have received a number of Vehicle Order Letters (SPK) for the VinFast VF 6.

"Orders have already been placed, but we will not disclose the numbers. Because the quantity is continuously growing," said Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto, Country CEO of VinFast Indonesia in Jakarta, on Tuesday (17/06).

Kariyanto assured that buyers will not have to wait long to receive the vehicles they have ordered.

"For the VF 6, we will start deliveries later at the end of this month (June 2025) or early July at the latest," he continued.

Furthermore, Kariyanto stated that the new VinFast electric car has a Completely Built Up (CBU) status from Vietnam.

In terms of dimensions, the VinFast VF 6 has a length of 4,241 mm, a width of 1,834 mm, and a height of 1,580 mm. Meanwhile, the wheelbase reaches 2,730 mm.

In terms of powertrain, the VinFast VF 6 ECO variant relies on an electric motor with 130 kW or 174 hp. Then, the peak torque is 250 Nm.

The Vietnamese company claims its product can travel up to 480 km on a single charge (NEDC).

Then, the VinFast VF 6 Plus is equipped with a 150 kW or 201 hp electric motor and 310 Nm of torque.

Unlike the previous type, the VinFast VF 6 is only capable of traveling as far as 460 km on a single charge.

On the other hand, regarding safety features, the VinFast VF 6 is equipped with the Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS), with the Eco variant featuring five features and the Plus variant having 18 features.

In detail, the ADAS on the Eco variant includes cruise control, blind spot assist, door open warning, rear parking assist, and a reverse camera.

Meanwhile, the VF 6 Plus includes traffic jam assist level 2 (stop and go), highway assist level 2, a 360 camera, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, emergency lane keeping assist, front collision warning, and blind spot assist.
