Priced from Rp 300 million and up, the VinFast VF 6 is expected to reach more and more Indonesian consumers.
KatadataOTO – The electric car company from Vietnam, VinFast, has officially introduced a new model for Indonesian consumers. This model targets family consumers who want to travel with an environmentally friendly vehicle.
In terms of design, the VinFast VF 6 is different from Chinese electric cars which tend to be futuristic. Although categorized as a compact SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle), there are not many sharp angles or bold lines on the side of the body.
That calm appearance carries the theme Easy Drive, Unleashed. Consumers can drive the VinFast VF 6 electric car without having to worry much about infrastructure or daily operational costs.
“Indonesian families are moving towards a more environmentally friendly and prosperous future, that is the message we want to convey through the VF 6,” said Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto, CEO of VinFast Indonesia in an official broadcast, quoted Tuesday (24/05).
The presence of the VinFast VF 6 adds another electric car option for consumers who want to switch from conventional cars.
Amidst the onslaught of Chinese electric cars, the VinFast VF 6 can be a vehicle option with a competitive price tag, making it worth considering.
Not just the product, Kariyanto emphasized that his party is also preparing supporting infrastructure to facilitate and add peace of mind for consumers when using VinFast electric cars.
To date, the total number of VinFast showrooms is claimed to have reached 22 branches. So consumers can easily access their services and products.
“In parallel, we are targeting the development of after-sales services to include 500 official workshops by the end of the year,” said Kariyanto.
Meanwhile, in collaboration with VinFast's subsidiary, V-Green, they will open thousands of charging points, also known as SPKLU (Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations).
Its public charging is even free for three years. Then there is a buyback regulation of up to 90 percent with a number of conditions.
Lastly, VinFast is collaborating with local banks so that financing for the VF 6 electric car can be done easily and flexibly.
“All of this stems from one belief that Indonesian families deserve to have an electric vehicle that is easy to use, easy to own, and trustworthy,” he asserted.
For your information, the VinFast VF 6 Eco is priced at Rp 384.9 million while the top Plus variant is sold for Rp 439.6 million OTR (On The Road) Jakarta.
