KatadataOTO – The electric car from Vietnam, the VinFast VF 7, is joining the GIIAS (Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show) 2025 event.

The model being presented has larger dimensions compared to previous VinFast products, although it still maintains a 5-seater configuration.

It should be noted, VinFast currently markets small-sized electric cars such as the VF 3, VF 5, VF e34, and VF 6.

The presence of the VinFast VF 7 is expected to become a new option for people interested in a sporty-style electric car for urban mobility.

“We are proud to be present again at GIIAS 2025 with an important achievement, introducing a new model specifically for the Indonesian market,” said Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto, CEO of VinFast Indonesia, in an official statement quoted on Wednesday (16/07).

The model has dimensions of 4,545 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, 1,636 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2,840 mm. In terms of size, the VinFast VF 7 is only slightly larger than the Chery E5 and BYD Atto 3.

Its front fascia still carries a similar design to previous VinFast products in Indonesia. There is a thin, spanning LED bar adorned with a V emblem in the center.

The door handles used are a flush model, making the VinFast VF 7's appearance more sleek and minimalist.

On the top of the VinFast VF 7, there are thin, black-colored roof rails, reinforcing the sporty feel of the SUV. Then, the highest trim is equipped with large 20-inch wheels.

According to information from VinFast, the VF 7 electric car is equipped with a 75.3 kWh capacity battery. This allows the vehicle to travel up to 450 km on a single charge.

The electric motor on the VinFast VF 7 is claimed to produce up to 368 hp with a peak torque of 498 Nm.

For the Eco variant, power is sent to the front via FWD (Front Wheel Drive). Meanwhile, the highest trim, the Plus, uses AWD (All Wheel Drive).

The VinFast VF 7 is equipped with several safety features such as Highway Assist Level 2, Lane Centering Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Emergency Lane Keep Assist.

The complete technical specifications of the VinFast VF 7 will likely be revealed during its debut at GIIAS 2025, which takes place towards the end of July.
