VinFast VF 7 electric car debuts at GIIAS 2025, set to become a new competitor for Chery E5 and BYD Atto 3 in Indonesia.
KatadataOTO – VinFast VF 7 officially launched at the GIIAS 2025 exhibition. This is the fifth VinFast model offered to Indonesian consumers.
In terms of dimensions, its size is indeed slightly larger than VinFast's previous product lines.
This electric car also still has a two-row or 5-seater configuration, able to accommodate five passengers in its cabin.
“We are also continuing to expand our dealer network and new partnerships. There are 20 new partners and the addition of 30 showrooms to the existing network,” said Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto, CEO of VinFast Indonesia in Tangerang, Wednesday (23/07).
The VinFast VF 7 is expected to meet the needs of people who want to buy a sporty-style electric car for urban mobility.
The front of this car still adopts a similar concept to other VinFast models. There is a thin LED bar decorating the area under the hood, complete with a V emblem in the center.
Moving to the side, the VinFast VF 7 uses flush door handles, which make the vehicle's appearance sleeker and more minimalist.
Its dimensions are similar to the Chery E5 and BYD Atto 3. The VinFast VF 7 has a length of 4,545 mm, a width of 1,890 mm, a height of 1,636 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,840 mm.
The sporty and bold impression is reinforced by the use of large 20-inch wheels for the highest variant of the VF 7 electric car.
Its safety features are claimed to be adequate. Some of them include Highway Assist Level 2, Lane Centering Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Emergency Lane Keep Assist.
Regarding the powertrain, the VinFast VF 7 uses a large 75.3 kWh capacity battery. Thanks to this power storage, the car is claimed to be able to travel 450 km on a single charge.
The battery and electric motor configuration in the VinFast VF 7 allows the car to produce 368 hp with a peak torque of 498 Nm.
This electric car is available in front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) variants.
However, for the first 200 buyers at GIIAS 2025, a special price applies, namely Rp 468 million and Rp 568 million.
