Volkswagen is bringing back the VW ID Buzz electric car at IIMS 2025, featuring a unique nostalgia-themed booth.
KatadataOTO – The IIMS 2025 event is enlivened by various automotive manufacturers including Volkswagen. They are once again presenting their flagship electric car, the ID Buzz, which was developed inspired by the VW Kombi.
For your information, the VW Kombi is one of Volkswagen's icons, widely known by automotive enthusiasts and the general public.
At IIMS 2025, Volkswagen presents a booth with the theme 'New Buzz in Life' as a nostalgic celebration of 100 years of trends and future innovations through the All-Electric ID Buzz, the successor to the VW Kombi in the electrification era.
“Through 'New Buzz in Life,' we want to share this heritage in a way that is relevant to today's generation,” said Ahmad Badawi, Head of Sales & Marketing at PT Garuda Mataram Motor at JIExpo Kemayoran, Friday (14/2).
The Volkswagen booth offers a 70s retro-futuristic theme, equipped with an immersive LED and an official merchandise area to get exclusive Volkswagen collections, from apparel to coffee.
“We invite all visitors to come to the Volkswagen booth at IIMS 2025, especially on the upcoming February 21st, and witness a special surprise from Volkswagen Indonesia,” said Ahmad.
For your information, the Volkswagen booth is located in Hall B2 of JIExpo Kemayoran. There will be a new product launch next Friday, most likely the newest version or variant of the ID Buzz electric car.
The VW ID Buzz debuted in Indonesia at the GIIAS 2024 exhibition, an electric-powered MPV with a range of 430 km based on the WLTP testing method.
With a capacity for six passengers, the VW ID Buzz is Volkswagen's first step in responding to the development of electrification in Indonesia.
Its design is still identical to their legendary car, the VW Kombi, complemented by futuristic and modern touches, especially on the grille and color options.
Entering the cabin, the interior of the VW ID Buzz feels spacious as each passenger gets an individual seat complete with electric adjustments and a massage feature. Then, the rearmost bench can be folded, increasing the luggage capacity to 1,121 liters.
The VW ID Buzz is priced at Rp 1.3 billion on the road in Jakarta. This car is now available for order by interested consumers.
