KatadataOTO – Voltron Indonesia has officially opened a new 360 kW DC Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU) facility at Living World Alam Sutera. Its presence is expected to meet the high demand from electric car users in the area.

Unlike other facilities, the Voltron DC 360 kW SPKLU is equipped with Hyper Fast Charging technology. Thanks to this, charging an electric vehicle to 80 percent takes less than 20 minutes.

There are three Hyper Fast Charging SPKLU machines, each with two guns, and they are now available for public use.

“We believe that the energy transition is not just a trend but a necessity for Indonesia to achieve its Net Zero Emissions target. Therefore, Voltron is committed to providing charging solutions that are faster, more strategic, and easily accessible,” said Abdul Rahman Elly, Founder & CEO of Voltron Indonesia, during the inauguration.

He also added that with this facility, the public no longer needs to worry about spending too much time charging. Although it is faster, Abdul Rahman Elly ensures that the charging rates remain competitive, benefiting customers.

“For the rates, below 50 kW it is Rp 2,466 while the additional fee is 933 per kW. Meanwhile, above 50 kW, the price is Rp 3,600 per kWh,” he affirmed.

Currently, the Voltron DC 360 kW SPKLU can accommodate about six cars simultaneously. Therefore, vehicle queues are expected to be shorter compared to other charging locations.

The plan is to build the Voltron DC 360 kW SPKLU at 50 locations to make it easier for the public to access the facility.

“For now, the development will still focus on the Greater Jakarta area first because the highest demand is still there,” added Abdul Rahman Elly.

The development will be carried out in stages until the end of 2025, and it is possible that it will expand further next year. Thus, it is hoped that the electric vehicle ecosystem, especially for charging, can become more widespread.
