Wholesale Sales of Electric Vehicles October 2025, Reached 13,000 Units

KatadataOTO – The distribution of electric cars from factory to dealer, or wholesales, throughout October 2025 increased by 245 percent compared to September.

Processed from Gaikindo data, total wholesales of electric cars in October 2025 was 13,935 units. Previously, it had dropped drastically to 4,039 units.

This time, electric car wholesales in Indonesia managed to surpass the achievement of hybrid cars, which recorded 5,556 units.

Looking at the details, this rapid increase in electric car distribution was thanks to the BYD Atto 1. The model was distributed for a total of 9,396 units in one month.

Its compact dimensions and competitive price in the Rp 190 million range are its main attractions. Thus, it secured many orders after its debut at GIIAS 2025.

Then, a new name started to appear, the Polytron G3. The electric car contributed 117 units to the total wholesales.

BYD still dominates the top 10 best-selling electric cars in October 2025. Besides the Atto 1, it was followed by the Sealion 7 with 524 units, the M6 with 516 units, the Atto 3 with 240 units, and the Denza D9 with 192 units.

In second place for best-selling electric cars in October 2025 is the Wuling BinguoEV with 625 units delivered. Previously in September, only 561 units were recorded.

Other models also experienced an increase, such as the Chery J6, from 308 units in September to 386 units the following month.

Similarly, the BYD Sealion 7 in third place increased from 297 units to 524 units. A new product from Wuling, the Mitra EV, is in last place with 185 units.
