KatadataOTO – Wuling Cortez Darion makes its global debut in Indonesia at GIIAS 2025. This environmentally friendly MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle) will be produced in Cikarang, West Java.

Darion itself is a phrase derived from (Dari Indonesia), meaning 'From Indonesia'. This emphasizes that the product is a locally-made car.

The Wuling Cortez Darion is offered with two powertrain options. First, they offer a pure electric car or EV and a PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle).

we are premiering our newest MPV, the Wuling Cortez Darion. On this occasion, we are also announcing that the Cortez Darion can be ordered starting today,” explained Ricky Christian, Marketing Operation Director of Wuling Motors at ICE BSD (23/07).

The Wuling Cortez Darion will make the sliding door MPV competition in Indonesia more interesting. Especially with the choice of two vehicle powertrains.

As a global brand, the appearance of the Cortez Darion in the country is a source of pride. Because Indonesia has become the development center for Wuling Motors' flagship products.

The Wuling Cortez Darion is claimed to be a 7-seater MPV that provides extra comfort. It also offers a high-class driving experience.

In terms of appearance, the EV version of the Cortez Darion uses a simple fascia design. Almost the entire grille is neatly covered.

Meanwhile, the PHEV variant is more open, as its gasoline engine still requires fresh air intake.

Inside the cabin, the Cortez Darion provides ample space. This is thanks to the vehicle's dimensions with a length of 4,910 mm, a width of 1,850 mm, and a height of 1,770 mm.

The wheelbase of the vehicle from China reaches 2,910 mm. Thus, there is spacious room for family members.

Additionally, the electric sunroof not only gives a spacious impression but also instills a sense of luxury.

The Wuling Cortez Darion EV is powered by an electric motor with 150 kW or 201 hp. Meanwhile, the unit's driving range reaches 540 km (CLTC).

To recharge the battery, a DC (CCS-2) port is provided. Therefore, charging from 30 percent to 80 percent only takes 30 minutes.

It is then paired with a DHT transmission system which is believed to provide smooth acceleration.

The Wuling Cortez Darion EV is planned to be marketed at a price below Rp 500 million. While the Darion PHEV will be around Rp 600 million.
