Wuling Darion is marketed with various latest technologies that make the vehicle more efficient and comfortable.
KatadataOTO – Wuling Darion is finally available for the Indonesian public. This newest MPV from China relies on a number of the latest technologies.
Various innovations are embedded to meet consumer needs, so it can be a mainstay for Indonesian families.
The most fundamental development is the new WFMS (Wonder Flexible Modular System) platform. This frame is believed to be applied to future models.
“This technology is an important foundation in presenting a vehicle that is efficient, powerful, and comfortable to drive,” said Danang Wiratmoko, Product Communication Manager of Wuling Motor, during the launch (05/11).
WFMS itself is said to be the result of Wuling's global development. It is also confirmed to be suitable for a variety of power source options, whether gasoline (ICE), Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV), or Electric Vehicle (EV).
It was further conveyed that this platform focuses on longer range, driving experience, fast charging, high safety, and reliable quality.
Then on the PHEV variant, the Wuling Darion uses a drive system called Ling Power. A combination of an Atkinson Cycle engine suitable for hybrid models, its efficiency is claimed to reach 43.2 percent.
Then the electric motor on the Wuling Darion PHEV uses technology from high-speed trains with an efficiency rate of 96.8 percent.
There is also support for a responsive Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT). Moreover, the operation of the components is claimed to have been tested 1 million times.
Meanwhile, the battery itself has also been tested for safety in various conditions. The Magic Battery Pro on the Wuling Darion EV and PHEV is confirmed to have safety elements that exceed industry standards.
To complete the driving experience, the Wuling Darion is equipped with level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) technology.
Drivers are supported by assistance such as Intelligent Driving Assist (IDA), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), and Lane Change Assist (LCA).
There are also Rear Collision Warning (RCW), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Door Opening Warning (DOW), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), as well as Intelligent High Beam Assist (IHMA).
