KatadataOTO – Wuling Motors celebrated its eighth anniversary by presenting two new models for Indonesian consumers. There is an electric-powered van, the Mitra EV (Electric Vehicle), and a new variant of the electric car BinguoEV.

The event took place at Wuling's assembly facility in Cikarang. The Mitra EV electric van targets business owners who want to use environmentally friendly vehicles.

“Why is it named Mitra EV? Because it has a deep meaning. More than just a friend, but a relationship with one another,” said Ricky Christian, Marketing Operation Director of Wuling Motors in Cikarang, on Friday (11/07).

He continued, the commercial vehicle segment has a great opportunity because it offers a number of advantages, such as operational efficiency.

The Mitra EV already uses Wuling's latest battery technology, the Magic Battery. The component is equipped with smart temperature control and a safety structure.

Wuling claims that using electric vehicles for commercial purposes can save 20 percent.

“The Mitra EV comes in two types. First, a minibus, and second, a blind van,” said Ricky.

Potential customers interested in using the Mitra EV can also make modifications according to their needs.

In addition, an updated version of the BinguoEV was also introduced and is now equipped with fast charging or DC Charging.

“The Wuling BinguoEV is equipped with a new interior color and is certainly supported by fast charging. This product offers two variants, light and pro, to meet customer needs,” said Ricky.

For your information, the Wuling BinguoEV electric car is now equipped with CCS2 fast charging with prices starting from Rp 279 million.

Besides the BinguoEV, Wuling still has several other electric car lines offered to customers, such as the Air ev and CloudEV. All are 5-seater configurations with a price tag below Rp 500 million.
