KatadataOTO – As a new manufacturer, Xpeng has a lot to prepare to gain the trust of the Indonesian public. Not just products, they also have to provide various services such as servicing and spare parts availability.
The Chinese manufacturer is aware of this and is preparing a network to be evenly distributed. Not only that, they are also boosting the availability of spare parts in their warehouses.
“We already have a spare parts warehouse and the availability is now sufficient. Because until now, we continue to ship spare parts from China,” said Arief Adityo Nugroho as Learning Partner of XPeng Indonesia some time ago.
The availability of its spare parts is also ensured to be quite diverse because they prepare not only fast-moving but also slow-moving parts. Thus, if damage occurs, customers do not have to wait too long.
He emphasized that all repairs will be carried out by technicians they have trained in detail. Even technicians from China are still in Indonesia to provide supervision.
“Our technicians have been trained directly by the principal, so their quality is guaranteed to remain optimal. They are even still here now, transferring their knowledge so that the work results can meet the standards,” he said.
As for their network, they admit to only having two 3S dealers in Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2 and Puri. This number is certain to continue to grow in the future as they are already targeting several other locations such as Pluit, Pondok Indah, Sunter, and BSD.
Not only that, they are also striving to be present in several other major cities such as Surabaya, Bali, Medan, and Makassar.
It was previously reported that Xpeng has introduced the X9 as its flagship in Indonesia. The car is already being assembled locally at the Handal Indonesia Motor factory.
Xpeng X9 has large dimensions with a length of 5,293 mm, a width of 1,988 mm, a height of 1,785 mm, and a wheelbase of 3,160 mm. The car is equipped with several excellent features such as a flagship driver seat, a zero-gravity space sofa, and a 10-point massage.
The performance of the XPENG X9 cannot be underestimated either, as the manufacturer has equipped it with an electric motor producing 496 hp and a peak torque of 640 Nm.
Two battery options are available with capacities of 84.5 kWh and 101.5 kWh. Each can be used to travel distances of 610 km and 720 km, respectively.
