KatadataOTO – The environmentally friendly vehicle manufacturer from China, Xpeng, has just introduced the latest version of their sedan, the Xpeng P7+.

The Xpeng P7+ sedan is reportedly their new strategy to attract more consumers in the global market.

Quoted from ArenaEV, Xpeng intends to launch the latest version of the P7+ sedan in 36 different countries. Interestingly, two variants are offered, Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) or Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV).

Indonesia has a chance to be one of the countries where the P7+ is introduced. Considering the trend of electric vehicles in the country is still growing and gaining public interest.

Compared to the previous Xpeng P7+ sedan, this new version is said to have 104 different changes and a fresher, more modern design.

The EREV variant of the P7+ is said to have the longest pure electric range for a sedan in its class, at 430 kilometers.

However, with the combined performance of the electric motor's battery and the conventional engine, its range is 1,550 kilometers with a full battery and gas tank.

The gasoline engine in the Xpeng P7+ EREV has a capacity of 1,500 cc, producing 148 hp to the rear wheels (Rear Wheel Drive).

Meanwhile, the BEV version of the Xpeng P7+ is equipped with an 800V system, allowing the car to be charged quickly or super fast charging.

For your information, the Xpeng P7+ is a sedan with a spacious cabin thanks to its vehicle length of over five meters and a wheelbase of around 3,000 mm.

Although it is quite large, the Xpeng P7+ has a sleek design and is claimed to have a drag coefficient of 0.206 Cd.

This is said to enable the Xpeng P7+ to accelerate easily, be power-efficient, and quiet when driving at high speeds.

It remains to be seen what the next news will be about the Xpeng P7+ coming to 36 countries in the global market, and whether Indonesia will be one of the candidates.

Similar competitors in the electric or PHEV sedan segment in the country are still limited. From Chinese manufacturers, there is only the BYD Seal which is a pure electric car.

Then from the Korean brand, there is the Hyundai Ioniq 6, sold for over Rp 1 billion and still fully imported from its country of origin.
