KatadataOTO – Yangwang introduced its newest product, the U8L, at the Shanghai Auto Show 2025. The car is a large luxury SUV with a capacity for six adults.
It is designed to meet the needs of high-end customers. Moreover, various advanced features have been incorporated, which are believed to provide optimal comfort.
Yangwang U8L was developed based on the U8 series, which is already equipped with core technologies such as the e4 Platform and the DiSus-P Intelligent Body Control System. Its dimensions are quite large, with a length of 5,400 mm and a wheelbase of 3,250 mm.
Featuring a 2+2+2 six-seat layout, the U8L ensures comfort for all passengers in every row. Access to the second and third rows is also made easy, suiting the needs of premium users for business activities.
As for its design, the U8L actually still retains the characteristics of the U8 series. However, there are a few changes, such as a new exterior color combination: Obsidian Black and Daybreak Gold.
In addition, the manufacturer has changed the front bumper to have black accents. The rear of the car also uses a top-bottom split electric tailgate design without a spare tire.
For a more luxurious look, it is fitted with 23-inch eight-hole wheels. Not only that, 24-karat gold-plated emblems with Oracle script on the front, rear, and steering wheel make the car even more luxurious.
Behind all its luxury, Yangwang remains committed to ensuring customer safety. However, they don't just install standard safety features, as the car is designed to float on water and can even continue to drive with a flat tire.
The car is also equipped with the DiPilot 600 driving assistance system. It includes several modern features such as Highway Navigation on Autopilot (HNOA), Navigation on Autopilot (NOA), Automatic Parking Assist (APA), e4 Parking, and Automated Valet Parking (AVP).
Its arrival is believed to strengthen Yangwang's position as a BYD subsidiary focused on offering premium vehicles. Since its debut in 2023, they have expanded their product line and successfully recorded sales of 10,000 units.
In the future, Yangwang is committed to introducing more ultra-premium products in a more exclusive price segment.
