KatadataOTO – Polytron Fox 200 is officially launched with several advantages tailored for women in Indonesia. One of them is the presence of the Fox Alert Smart Turn Assist feature.

This feature allows the motorcycle to give a warning to the driver if they turn on the turn signal but turn in the wrong direction. Thus, the risk of accidents can be reduced.

“Female drivers have long been associated with signaling right but turning left, or vice versa. Thanks to the Fox Alert Smart Turn Assist, the motorcycle will provide an audible notification to remind the driver,” said Ilman Fachrian, Head of Product EV 2W at Polytron Indonesia.

Not only that, the feature will also notify the driver if they turn on the turn signal but do not turn. A warning will be given if the rider does not turn within five seconds.

“We also see that women, especially mothers, need a large storage compartment to carry groceries. Therefore, the Polytron Fox 200 is equipped with a 13-liter storage compartment,” he added.

Interestingly, the Polytron Fox 200 is also equipped with a Cruise Control feature that can be activated when the motorcycle reaches a speed of 5 km per hour.

The Fox 200 is equipped with a 1.94 kWh capacity battery that powers a 1.5 kW electric motor, or about 2 hp. Although it seems small, its torque is quite large at 153 Nm.

When the battery is fully charged, the motorcycle can travel up to 85 km with a maximum speed of 70 km per hour. Meanwhile, charging from 0 to 100 percent takes about five hours.

To get it, the Polytron Fox 200 is priced at Rp 18.5 million. However, the company from Kudus is providing an incentive of Rp 7 million, so customers only need to pay Rp 11.5 million if they use the Battery Subscription (battery rental) scheme.

Meanwhile, if customers want to buy using the buy-to-own (purchase with battery) scheme, the price becomes Rp 20.5 million. Consumers also get a 3-year battery warranty.
