The new Ducati Panigale V2 has been officially launched for Indonesian consumers at the Mandalika Circuit, with a lighter weight.
KatadataOTO – The new Ducati Panigale V2 was officially launched for Indonesian consumers on Saturday (03/05). The previous version was released towards the end of 2020 with a price tag of around Rp 700 million.
This latest model uses a smaller displacement engine, an 890 cc V-Twin two-cylinder. The previous model was equipped with a 950 cc engine.
The use of this new engine is claimed to make the motorcycle lighter while maintaining performance. Therefore, it is expected to remain comfortable for daily use, not just on the track.
This motorcycle is touted as the lightest Panigale compared to the previous version, and its development is focused on daily riding comfort.
While maintaining Ducati's DNA, the newest Panigale V2 is designed from scratch. Meanwhile, the previous version adopted the characteristics of the model that competes in Superbike racing.
Two variants are offered: the V2 and V2 S. The V2 has a weight of 179 kg, while the V2 S is lighter at 176 kg, according to the technical specification information on Ducati's official website.
Meanwhile, its powerhouse uses Ducati's lightest two-cylinder engine. It weighs 54.4 kg, is Euro5+ certified, and is about 8 kg lighter than the engine in the Ducati Scrambler.
This configuration makes the New Ducati Panigale V2 more agile, high-performing, and still comfortable to ride.
