The Fate of the Polytron Fox-R Electric Motorcycle After the Fox 350's Arrival

KatadataOTO – Polytron Fox 350 is officially launched for Indonesian consumers as an updated version of the previous electric motorcycle model, the Fox-R.

Several changes have been made, but the most noticeable is the deck design, which is claimed to be more ergonomic and adapt to the rider's posture.

It should be noted that the Polytron Fox-R debuted in Indonesia on November 2, 2022. The technical specifications of that motorcycle have been adopted for the Fox 350.

Polytron has confirmed that sales of the Fox-R electric motorcycle will be discontinued following the arrival of its newest version, the Fox 350.

“There are only a few left, the stock might be depleted. We will immediately supply the Fox 350,” said Ilman Fachrian Fadly, Head of Group Product Electric Vehicle at Polytron in Jakarta, on Wednesday (19/11).

Production of the Fox-R has now been replaced by the Fox 350, and consumers can already place orders for the unit.

For consumers interested in trying it out, Polytron is also participating in the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) 2025 event and providing test ride facilities.

However, Fox-R owners need not worry because spare parts for that model will still be available at their official dealer network.

“We will maintain (the availability of spare parts). They will be available for the Fox-R, Fox 500, and also the Fox 200,” Ilman affirmed.

Regarding production, Ilman revealed that trial production of the Fox 350 has begun. Therefore, prospective buyers are not expected to have to wait too long for their units.

For your information, the Polytron Fox 350 is sold at a competitive price of Rp 15.5 million. This includes a direct subsidy from the manufacturer of Rp 7 million.

The battery rental fee is also quite affordable at Rp 200 thousand per month. The battery warranty is guaranteed for the duration of the subscription.

This option is intended to reduce consumer concerns about the resale value of the Polytron electric motorcycle. This is because owners do not need to worry about the battery quality degradation that may occur during use.

It should be noted that the Polytron electric motorcycle battery itself is valued at Rp 17.5 million. However, buyers can take advantage of a bundled package for the motorcycle, including the power storage unit, for Rp 27.5 million on the road in Jakarta.
