KatadataOTO – The Police are holding Operasi Keselamatan 2025 from February 10 to 23. This activity is an effort to increase traffic safety awareness before the implementation of Operasi Ketupat during Ramadan.

With this, it is hoped that driving discipline will increase during the Lebaran homecoming exodus.

“I am announcing that the traffic safety operation will be carried out for 14 days from February 10 to 23, 2025. The goal is to increase the compliance and obedience of road users to ensure orderly traffic,” said Brigadier General Drs Agus Suryonugroho S.H., Head of the National Police Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas), in his press release.

Operasi Keselamatan has always been a routine activity held every year. Usually, the activity is conducted before Operasi Ketupat during the Lebaran homecoming season.

The results of this activity will be used as a police evaluation of public driving discipline. Thus, it is hoped that during the homecoming season, they will be more aware and orderly in their driving.

For supervision, the police will place officers at a number of violation-prone points. Thus, the public is expected to be more disciplined in driving.

They will also utilize a number of technologies such as Static and Mobile ETLE cameras. Thanks to this, officers can work more easily because surveillance can be carried out 24 hours a day.

With the many facilities in Operasi Keselamatan 2025, it is hoped that no violations will be missed from enforcement and that it can have a deterrent effect on the public.
