Within seven days of its implementation, at least 42,579 violators have been apprehended during Operation Patuh Jaya.

KatadataOTO – As of the seventh day, Operasi Patuh Jaya 2025 has taken action against at least 42,579 violators. This number is a combination from the Jakarta area and its surroundings.

The number of violations is expected to continue to increase as Operasi Patuh will continue until Sunday (27/07).

“During the seven days of Operasi Patuh Jaya, 42,579 violations were recorded. Of that number, Static ETLE caught 19,597 vehicles, mobile ETLE 8,359, manual tickets 2,221 and warnings 12,402,” said Police Commissioner Komarudin, Director of Traffic for the Metro Jaya Regional Police, as reported by Antara (21/07).

Of that number, two-wheeled vehicle riders were the most frequent violators with 34,053 offenders. The cases varied, from not wearing a standard helmet to driving against the flow of traffic.

Riders caught not wearing an SNI (Indonesian National Standard) helmet dominated with 14,189 cases. This was followed by driving against traffic with 8,985 cases.

Next, carrying more than one passenger on a motorcycle resulted in 56 violations, underage driving 17 cases, and other violations accounted for 10,806 incidents.

Meanwhile, for four-wheeled vehicle violations, the number was considerably lower at only 8,526 cases.

Not wearing a seatbelt was the most recorded violation with 7,088 cases, using a mobile phone while driving accounted for 213 cases, driving against traffic had 1 incident, and other violations totaled 1,219.

Additionally, during Operasi Patuh Jaya 2025, there have been 146 accidents. In those incidents, eight people died, 33 were seriously injured, and 139 sustained minor injuries.

The Metro Jaya Regional Police will also be very focused on eradicating the use of fake license plates during Operasi Jaya 2025.

"I want to emphasize that there will be no tolerance for the increasingly widespread practice of using fake plates," said Inspector General Karyoto, Chief of the Metro Jaya Regional Police, while leading the Troop Roll Call Ceremony for Operasi Patuh Jaya 2025 in Jakarta, on Monday (14/7).

  1. Using a mobile phone while driving a vehicle
  2. Underage drivers
  3. Motorcycle riders carrying more than 1 passenger
  4. Not wearing an Indonesian National Standard (SNI) helmet
  5. Not using a safety belt or seatbelt
  6. Driving under the influence of alcohol
  7. Driving against traffic
  8. Exceeding the speed limit
  9. Motor vehicles not equipped with a Vehicle Registration Number Plate (TNKB)
  10. Vehicles with fake license plates
