KatadataOTO – The police have confirmed they will not only rely on electronic tickets during Operation Patuh 2025. This is because many areas are not yet equipped with Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) cameras.

Public compliance should not only be on main roads but throughout all areas. Therefore, manual tickets will also be re-enforced during Operation Patuh Jaya 2025.

"One of the operation's targets is driving against the flow of traffic. For roads that do not have static or mobile ETLE, conventional or manual ticketing must be carried out," said Police Commissioner Komarudin, Director of Traffic for the Metro Jaya Regional Police, as reported by Antara (16/07).

According to him, manual ticketing is still being used because the law enforcement concept for this operation is no longer stationary but a hunting system.

"So officers are targeting spots where violations often occur, such as underage children driving motor vehicles. It's unlikely they would be driving on main roads," he said.

He also emphasized that officers in the field have received special directives, so the potential for illegal levies can be suppressed.

“During the pre-operation training, it was conveyed and always emphasized that there should be no deviations. The public is welcome to report any unprofessional actions," he explained.

It should be noted that the Metro Jaya Regional Police deployed 2,938 joint personnel for Operation Patuh Jaya 2025. The operation will be carried out for 14 days, from July 14 to 27, 2025.

On the first day, Monday, July 14, 2025, action was taken against 3,572 violations. This number is expected to continue to increase in the following days.
