KatadataOTO – Indonesia is once again receiving an international guest from another country. This time, it is King Abdullah II of Jordan.

During the visit, a series of state events will be held. Therefore, a number of preparations have been implemented.

Such as the closure of road sections at several points in Jakarta. This is to ensure a smooth passage for the state guest.

The public and drivers are expected to pay attention to traffic diversions when the King of Jordan passes.

“There will be escorts and temporary traffic arrangements on several main roads in Jakarta as a form of respect,” wrote the announcement on the @tmcpoldametro Instagram account, Friday (14/11).

The police stated that the road closures during the King of Jordan's visit are not permanent, but only when the motorcade is passing.

Thus, it is hoped that it will not disrupt public activities. Additionally, drivers can pass smoothly.

“Road closures will only be carried out when the state guest's motorcade is passing,” continued the Metro Jaya Regional Police.

Considering that state guests are among the vehicles that receive priority on the road. This is regulated in Law no. 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic.

It states that vehicles of foreign state leaders and officials are fifth in priority after fire trucks, ambulances, accident assistance vehicles, and official cars of Indonesian state institution leaders.

Meanwhile, King Abdullah II of Jordan's visit is said to include a meeting with representatives from Danantara Indonesia.

In addition, King Abdullah II, together with President Prabowo Subianto, will witness the signing of a bilateral memorandum of understanding.

It should be noted that Prabowo and his staff had visited Jordan. The visit took place on April 14, 2025.

He had a private meeting with King Abdullah II at the Al Husseiniya Palace on the second day of his visit.

As a reminder, the police will close eight roads in Jakarta on two occasions. This afternoon and tomorrow morning, respectively.
