Astra Ready to Compensate for Tire Burst Incident on Cipali Toll Road

KatadataOTO – Astra Infra Toll Road Cikopo Palimanan, as the operator of the Cikopo - Palimanan (Cipali) toll road, apologizes for the potholes in several spots. They made this statement after several cars experienced tire blowouts while passing through.

They also affirmed their readiness to provide compensation as a form of their responsibility.

“We apologize for the inconvenience and are committed to providing compensation. Pothole repairs on the Cipali Toll Road will also be carried out immediately,” said Rinaldi, Operational Director of Astra Infra Toll Road Cikopo Palimanan, as reported by Antara (28/01).

To facilitate the process, road users who experience damage due to potholes on the Cipali toll road can file a claim through the Astra Infra Toll Road Cikopo – Palimanan call center at (0260) 7600 600. Claims can also be made via WhatsApp at 0853-1629-2905.

Furthermore, they have deployed a team to immediately carry out repairs and ensure that the potholes have been addressed. They have also prepared a special team to patrol the toll road to identify the emergence of new potholes.

This step is important to prevent similar incidents from occurring. Especially now, during a long holiday, traffic flow tends to be heavy.

“We will strive for the best handling to prevent similar incidents from recurring, while still paying attention to the safety and security factors for both workers and road users,” Rinaldi affirmed.

Traffic during the Isra Miraj and Chinese New Year holidays is expected to increase significantly compared to normal conditions. Therefore, several policymakers have made thorough preparations to avoid congestion.

Jakarta-Cikampek

• Cikampek-bound (KM 47 - KM 70): in effect January 24, 2025, from 14:00-22:00 WIB. Then continues on January 25-27, 2025, from 06:00 to 20:00 WIB each day.
• Jakarta-bound (KM 70-KM 47): in effect from January 28 to 30, 2025, from 14:00 to 24:00 WIB.

Jakarta-Bogor-Ciawi

• Ciawi-bound (KM 44-KM 46): from January 25, 2025, to February 1, 2025, from 06:00 to 12:00 WIB each day.
• Jakarta-bound (KM 21-KM 8): from January 26 to 29, 2025, starting from 12:00 to 19:00 WIB and continuing on February 2, 2025, from 12:00 to 19:00 WIB.
