KatadataOTO – PT Astra UD Trucks and PT Patra Logistik signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at GIIAS 2025. The collaboration between the two parties is related to fleet maintenance.

In the future, units owned by Patra Logistik will receive comprehensive maintenance from UD Trucks Indonesia.

This collaboration is said to be a concrete form of synergy between a commercial vehicle provider and an energy logistics operator in strengthening the reliability of national fuel distribution.

“We welcome this strategic collaboration as it is in line with Patra Logistik's commitment to continuously improve fleet safety standards,” said Joko Priambodo, Marketing & Operations Director of PT Patra Logistik in Tangerang (01/08).

It was stated that the land transportation sector, especially commercial fleets, still faces major challenges in Indonesia.

Based on data from the Ministry of Transportation, more than 35 percent of heavy vehicle accidents are caused by technical problems.

In addition, the lack of regular maintenance for fleets on the road is also a contributing factor.

The collaboration between Astra UD Trucks and Patra Logistik includes preventive and corrective maintenance services, covering free service, critical component maintenance contracts, as well as 24/7 technical and emergency support provided through UD Workshop, UD Mobile Service, and UD On-Site Service.

“We don't just provide vehicles; we are here as a long-term partner in maintaining fleet uptime, driver safety, and the smooth distribution of national energy,” said Bambang Widjanarko, Chief Operating Officer of Astra UD Trucks.

This collaboration also utilizes the My UD Fleet telematics system, enabling real-time monitoring of vehicle performance.

Fuel tanker trucks are part of the nation's critical infrastructure. Therefore, ensuring the units are in prime condition must be a top priority.

It was further stated that this collaboration is an effort to support compliance with fuel vehicle safety regulations.

“With more structured and data-based maintenance, we hope to encourage Patra Logistik to remain the backbone of Indonesia's energy distribution —reliable, safe, and efficient,” added Winarto Martono, Chief Executive of Astra UD Trucks.

PT Patra Logistik is a subsidiary of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga. The company operates in the downstream oil and gas business sector.

Their business focus is on providing logistics services and other logistics support services.
