Beware of Traffic Jams, Jakarta Traffic Diversions This Weekend

KatadataOTO – The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency will divert a number of roads to support the Jakarta Running Festival (JRF) 2025 on October 25-26. With this, it is hoped that the event can run smoothly while traffic is maintained.

Syafrin Liputo, Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, revealed that on October 25, five roads will be closed. Meanwhile, the next day it will increase to 13 sections.

He detailed the five road sections that will be diverted on October 25, 2025, namely Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Gatot Subroto, Gerbang Pemuda, M.H Thamrin (Hotel Indonesia Roundabout) and Sisingamangaraja.

"Traffic diversions on October 25, 2025, will be implemented from 03:30 AM to 08:30 AM (WIB)," said Syafrin.

To avoid congestion, they will prepare a number of alternative routes. The following are the traffic engineering locations

October 25, 2025

• Traffic from the North (Sarinah) to the South (Blok M) can go via Jalan MH Thamrin - Imam Bonjol - Rasuna Said - Kapten Tendean - Wolter Mongisidi – Trunojoyo and so on.
• Then vehicles from Jalan Teluk Betung heading East (Menteng) can go via Jenderal Sudirman - MH Thamrin, turn around in the South at the Arjuna Wijaya Statue Intersection - MH Thamrin - Imam Bonjol and so on.
• Furthermore, traffic from the East (Menteng) to the West (Tanah Abang) can use HOS Cokroaminoto - Dr. GSSJ Ratulangi – Johar - KH Wahid Hasyim - KH Mas Mansyur and so on.
• Next, vehicles from the West (Karet Station) heading West (Manggarai) can go via Jalan RM Margono Djojohadikoesoemo – Galunggung - Sultan Agung and so on.

• Then, vehicles from the East (Manggarai) to the West (Tanah Abang) can use Sultan Agung – Galunggung - Karet Pasar Baru Timur III - Karet Pasar Baru Timur II - RM Margono Djojohadikoesoemo and so on.
• Then, traffic from the North (Tanah Abang) to the East (Kampung Melayu) can use Jalan Mas Mansyur - Prof. Dr. Satrio or the Dr. Satrio Overpass - Jalan Casablanca Raya - KH Abdulah Svafei and so on.
• Furthermore, traffic from the East (Kampung Melayu) to the North (Tanah Abang) can use Jalan KH Abdulah Syafei - Casablanca Raya, the Dr. Satrio Overpass or Jalan Dr. Satrio - Mas Mansyur and so on.
• Vehicles from the West (Slipi) heading East (Cawang) can use Jalan Gatot Subroto - Semanggi Interchange - S Parman and so on.
• Next, traffic from the East (Cawang) to the West (Slipi) can use Jalan Gatot Subroto - Rasuna Said - Prof. Dr. Satrio - Mas Mansyur – Penjernihan - Pejompongan Raya - Tentara Pelajar - S Parman and so on.
• Then, cars and motorcycles from Jalan Senopati or Jalan Pattimura towards Gelora Bung Karno can use Jalan Hang Lekir 1 - Hang Tuah Raya - Hang Lekir IV - Hang Lekir 2 - Hang Lekir 1 - Asia Afrika - Gerbang Pemuda and so on.
