KatadataOTO – Crimes against car rental entrepreneurs continue to occur. The latest is the alleged embezzlement of a four-wheeled vehicle belonging to Ilyas Abdurahman in Tangerang on Thursday (2/1).
His car was taken by several individuals. Forcing Ilyas to give chase to get the unit back.
Finally, Ilyas's Honda Brio with license plate number B 2694 KZO was found in the Pandeglang area.
However, the perpetrators did not want to hand it over just like that. They immediately fled with the vehicle to avoid being seen by Ilyas.
Until they stopped at the Kilometer 45 Rest Area on the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road and were found by Ilyas and his two children.
Unfortunately, Ilyas lost his life at the hands of an Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) soldier with the initials AA and the rank of Sertu (First Sergeant), after his body was pierced by a bullet.
Based on the above, car rental entrepreneurs are advised to join existing communities.
“Communities are important, as we can share information with each other. So we can get a quick response because there is a rapid response team,” said M. Yahya, owner of Yahya Mister Trans Tour & Rencar’s Depok car rental, to KatadataOTO.
According to Yahya, in the group he joined, there is a rapid response team. It consists of members and has a duty schedule.
They are tasked with helping car rental entrepreneurs who experience problems. One of them is the case of four-wheeled vehicle embezzlement like the one that happened to Ilyas.
“Members can notify the group if they are having problems. Later, the person on duty will help,” he continued.
Furthermore, Yahya explained that it's not just cases of vehicle embezzlement that will be assisted. But other problems as well.
For example, a flat tire, keys locked inside the car, or even an accident will be assisted. Because they also have towing facilities.
That way, all the problems of car rental entrepreneurs can be overcome. Especially since their membership is quite large and spread out everywhere.
“So the community's task is not just to help monitor transaction activities. Everything can be communicated, and customers will certainly be helped as well,” Yahya affirmed.
However, he mentioned that there are obligations that members must fulfill. Such as paying membership fees regularly.
However, the amount to be paid varies. It depends on the regulations within the group or community.
