KatadataOTO – To provide a sense of safety and comfort during Christmas and New Year (Nataru) 2025, the police will hold Operation Zebra 2025.

The activity is planned to be carried out next week, from November 17-30, 2025.

Later, Operation Zebra 2025 will be directed through three main targets. First, to prepare for Operation Lilin.

Then, based on the results of the traffic safety and order analysis for the last three months. And also to respond to phenomena developing in the community.

One of the concerns of the National Police Traffic Corps is the crackdown on illegal racing, which is rampant in several locations in Indonesia.

Moreover, according to data from the National Police Traffic Corps, in the last three months, there have been 639,739 recorded traffic violation cases throughout the country.

Most of the violators are of productive age, namely 26-45 years old. They are predominantly motorcycle users.

The Traffic Corps will again rely on electronic ticketing or ETLE for Operation Zebra 2025. Especially handheld ETLE devices in areas that do not yet have static cameras.

“Manual ticketing can still be used. But the composition remains 95 percent ETLE and five percent manual,” said Police Commissioner Aries Syahbudin, Head of Operations for the National Police Traffic Corps, on the official Korlantas website, Friday (14/10).

According to Aries, manual ticketing will still be implemented. Because several regions do not yet have ETLE cameras.

In addition, Operation Zebra 2025 will also emphasize activity data collection through the National Police Traffic Corps' Operational Unit Information System (SISLAOPS).
