KatadataOTO – Used electric cars have recently started to be offered more frequently. This presents an opportunity for people who want to switch from conventional four-wheeled vehicles.
Additionally, the EVs (Electric Vehicles) on offer are quite diverse. They can be adjusted to your budget.
“In the used car market, the cycle is that electric four-wheeled vehicles older than three years start to be sold,” said Agung Iskandar, Director of OLXmobbi, during a Forwot (Automotive Journalists Forum) discussion titled 'Automotive Financing Opportunities' some time ago.
According to Agung, there are several used electric cars that people can choose from. Especially those that have been on the road for quite some time.
“Generally, there are only two now, namely the Wuling Air ev and the Hyundai Ioniq 5,” Agung stated.
Indeed, if you look at used car sales websites, many 2022 Wuling Air ev models are being offered by automotive enthusiasts.
The prices offered are also quite varied. Ranging from around Rp 150 million to the most expensive at Rp 195 million.
Depending on the type and condition when sold. So you can adjust it to your budget.
Next, the 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 is also available. If you intend to buy this EV, you just need to prepare a budget of around Rp 500 million.
For your information, the Wuling Air ev first hit the roads in the country in the second half of 2022. The Chinese manufacturer priced their product from around Rp 100 million to Rp 300 million.
However, the Wuling electric car was showcased to Budi Karya Sumadi, the Minister of Transportation, in 2021.
Then, since its first appearance in the domestic market, the Air ev has been locally assembled at the Wuling factory in Cikarang, West Java.
It was also claimed to be the first pure electric car assembled domestically. Thus, the price offered is quite affordable.
Meanwhile, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 hit the roads in the country in early 2021. It uses a new platform, the E-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform).
This gives the product a very futuristic look. So it really catches the attention of automotive enthusiasts.
A year later, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 was finally officially assembled locally at Hyundai's production facility, located in Cikarang, West Java.
