KatadataOTO – Traffic conditions on the Cipali toll road from Jakarta to Cirebon are becoming increasingly congested. This can be seen from the large number of vehicles passing through the toll road on Wednesday (26/03).

The congestion is expected to continue in the days leading up to Eid al-Fitr.

"As of 18:00 WIB, 46,500 vehicles have passed through Cikopo from Jakarta towards Cirebon," said Ardam Rafif Trisilo, Sustainability Management & Corporate Communications Dept. Head of Astra Tol Cipali (26/03).

This marks a 77 percent increase from the total traffic volume of the previous day.

Conversely, 18,600 vehicles passed through Cikopo (from Cirebon to Jakarta), an increase of 12 percent from the traffic volume at the same time the previous day.

Meanwhile, traffic congestion also occurred along the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road. Ria Marlinda Paallo, Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT JTT, said that congestion has already occurred on the toll road during the 2025 Eid homecoming season.

From D-10 to D-6 of the 2025 Eid holiday period, PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol recorded 204,631 vehicles heading to the eastern Trans-Java region via the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (TG).
Ria Marlinda mentioned that the total volume of vehicles passing through the Cikampek Utama TG increased by 48.8 percent compared to the normal traffic of 137,528 vehicles.

To avoid traffic congestion, Jasa Marga has collaborated with the police to implement several traffic engineering schemes, ranging from contraflow to one-way systems on the toll road.
