KatadataOTO – PT Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM) has once again become the main sponsor for the international badminton tournament. The competition, named the Daihatsu Indonesia Masters, will be held from January 20 – 25, 2025.

The event will take place at Istora Gelora Bung Karno, Senayan, Jakarta. The tournament, a collaboration between Daihatsu and PBSI (Badminton Association of Indonesia), has prepared a total prize of USD 500,000.

It is said that this competition, part of the BWF World Tour Super 500 series, is set to feature fierce competition among world-class badminton players.

“In line with Daihatsu's major theme, 'Happy from the Start – Because You Exist,' it illustrates our emotional connection with badminton in Indonesia,” said Sri Agung Handayani, Marketing and Corporate Communication Director of PT ADM in Jakarta (27/11).

This is not the first time Daihatsu has been the main sponsor of the Indonesia Masters. Daihatsu Indonesia has been supporting this sport for nine years.

Therefore, it is said to be a source of pride for the Japanese manufacturer.

“We hope the Daihatsu Indonesia Masters 2026 tournament will be successful. And that it will produce high-quality matches and provide the best experience for all fans,” Agung later explained.

He also invited the people of Indonesia to watch all the matches live together.

The Daihatsu Indonesia Masters 2026 event itself is believed to present an intense competitive atmosphere.

This year, the tournament will once again make new history. As it will be attended by the best athletes from 20 countries.

Indonesia's top badminton players will participate, including Jonatan Christie, Anthony Ginting, Alwi Farhan, Gregoria Mariska Tunjung, Putri Kusuma Wardani, Shohibul Fikri, and a number of young talents.

Additionally, it was mentioned that the team from China will participate with a full squad in the Daihatsu Indonesia Masters 2026. They have even booked accommodations around the Senayan area, Jakarta.

“Daihatsu's consistency will be an inspiration for young athletes and the wider community to continue to achieve,” said Ricky Soebagdja, Secretary General of PBSI, during the press conference session.

For your information, in the Daihatsu Indonesia Masters event, Indonesian badminton players have contributed a total of 10 gold medals. Making it a source of pride for the tournament, which has been held since 2018.
