KatadataOTO – Recently, there has been a lot of discussion about several ambulances being ticketed by electronic traffic enforcement or ETLE (Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement).

This happened because they violated traffic laws. For example, they were caught running a red light and entering the Transjakarta lane while transporting a patient.

"Nowadays, we just follow the rules, even if it means stopping at a red light while carrying a patient, rather than getting an ETLE ticket," said an ambulance driver in an Instagram post by @wargajakarta.id on Tuesday (15/04).

For ambulance drivers or vehicle owners who receive an ETLE ticket, you will receive a confirmation letter from the police sent via the Post Office or email.

You will then be given a deadline to file an objection and pay the ticket fine in accordance with the applicable regulations.

If you are late in confirming or paying the fine, your Vehicle Registration Certificate (STNK) may be blocked.

If this happens, the vehicle owner can unblock it after being caught by an ETLE camera on the road.

"First, open the official ETLE website of the Polda Metro Jaya (Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police), where you can clarify the violation committed," explained AKBP Ojo Ruslan, Head of the Law Enforcement Sub-directorate of the Polda Metro Jaya Traffic Directorate on Instagram @tmcpoldametro.

The second way to unblock an ETLE ticket is by going directly to the Samsat (One-Stop Administration System) office within the jurisdiction of the Polda Metro Jaya.

Ojo explained that they have stationed several personnel to assist vehicle owners.

"Whether it's in Cipondoh, Ciputat, Cikarang, Bekasi City, North Jakarta, and others. Please feel free to come directly to those Samsat offices," Ojo continued.

Then, drivers can also dispute or clarify the violation recorded by ETLE.

For example, by coming to the office of the Law Enforcement Sub-directorate of the Polda Metro Jaya Traffic Directorate in the Pancoran area, South Jakarta.
