Gaikindo Has Not Yet Decided to Move GIIAS from ICE BSD to PIK

According to circulating rumors, next year's GIIAS will be held in the Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) area. No longer located at ICE BSD, Tangerang.

The Association of Indonesia Automotive Industries (Gaikindo) has spoken out about the widely circulating rumor.

“We are studying it, we have (also) received a lot of input from our friends, both participants and visitors,” said Yohannes Nangoi, Chairman of Gaikindo at ICE BSD, Tangerang some time ago.

Nangoi revealed that Gaikindo is considering many things to move GIIAS 2026 from ICE BSD, Tangerang to PIK.

Considering there are a number of factors that must be considered. Starting from the location, transportation, to visitors.

Therefore, it is not easy to move GIIAS 2026 to a new place. This is to ensure the smooth running of this automotive exhibition.

“But if everyone still loves this area, then we will keep (GIIAS) in this area,” he continued.

Nevertheless, Nangoi promised that Gaikindo will announce the future of GIIAS. Whether it will move to PIK or not.

He said that if they have to keep using ICE BSD, Tangerang as the location for next year's GIIAS, it means there is a very big consideration.

Likewise, if Gaikindo decides to hold GIIAS 2026 in a new place, it means they have found various positive things there.

“Because it is for our progress, but it seems very likely that we are working on this (move),” Nangoi affirmed.
