The GIIAS 2025 automotive exhibition will feature several new names that are expected to be a major draw for the public.
KatadataOTO – Automotive exhibition GIIAS 2025 (Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show) is getting ready to be held. The event will be held from July 24 – August 3, 2025.
It's becoming interesting because this event will welcome several new brands. Therefore, it is certain to attract more visitors.
More brands joining an exhibition is a noteworthy point. Because in some countries, similar events are not as varied.
“I have seen automotive exhibitions abroad firsthand, and they are not as complete as in Indonesia. Because here there are brands from China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, and also the European continent,” said Yohannes Nangoi, Chairman of Gaikindo in Jakarta (06/18).
He mentioned that a similar event in China, for example, is dominated by local players.
Compared to GIIAS 2025, it will feature at least 39 passenger car brands, 4 commercial vehicles, 16 motorcycle brands, and hundreds of supporting industries.
China has experienced rapid development in the last 10 years, especially in the automotive industry. New brands have emerged, even managing to achieve impressive sales.
It is unfortunate because even though it is more vibrant, Indonesia does not yet have a national car. Thus, a grand exhibition of GIIAS's caliber does not feature any native Indonesian brands.
GIIAS 2025 will still be held at ICE BSD, Tangerang. A number of brands that will make their debut include Aletra, Denza, Geely, Jaecoo, Lepas, Polytron, Xpeng, and Wedinson.
Meanwhile, two names are making a comeback, such as Ford and Jeep. Both brands have previously participated in the GIIAS exhibition but have since left the country.
Not only is it claimed to be the most complete exhibition, GIIAS 2025 is also said to be the largest exhibition in the world after China's.
“With the presence of various brands from all over the world, it is certain that GIIAS will also be the event of choice for brands to launch and introduce their products,” Nangoi continued.
