KatadataOTO – The Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week or GJAW 2025 has officially opened and is the association's last event of the year.

GJAW 2025 is touted as Gaikindo's ultimate weapon to boost car sales in Indonesia amidst an economic slowdown.

“We are presenting 80 participants in this GJAW 2025, consisting of 33 passenger vehicle brands, 10 motorcycle brands, 2 coachbuilder brands, and more than 45 supporting industry brands,” said Putu Juli Ardika, Chairman of Gaikindo in Tangerang, Friday (21/11).

He continued that there are various programs that visitors can enjoy during the exhibition.

For example, the Electric Vehicle or EV test drive program is expected to give consumers an idea about electric cars before making a purchase.

Various electric cars are present, such as newcomer Changan, which is bringing its compact EV, the Lumin, with a price of around IDR 178 million on the road in Jakarta.

Not to be missed is the newest variant of the Chery J6, the J6T, with a price tag of around IDR 500 million. Meanwhile, its sub-brand, Jetour, announced the official price for the gasoline-powered T2.

There is also the Toyota Veloz Hybrid, which is making its world premiere at GJAW 2025. The car is an attractive option thanks to a competitive price starting from IDR 299 million.

Visitors can also participate in various other interesting activities, including automotive community events during GJAW 2025.

“We hope these various programs will create massive sales momentum and become an important driver for the national industry towards the end of the year,” Putu affirmed.

Currently, GJAW 2025 is collaborating with Permata Bank, offering purchasing programs and easy credit payment options.
