The IIMS 2025 automotive exhibition is reported to have achieved positive results over its 11-day run, with total transactions reaching IDR 8 trillion
KatadataOTO – Amidst the various challenges in the automotive industry, the exhibition IIMS 2025 successfully attracted public interest in ordering new vehicles. This year, its transactions are claimed to have reached Rp 8 trillion.
Meanwhile, the number of vehicle orders reached 22,322 units. In addition, the number of visitors to IIMS 2025 was recorded to have increased by three percent compared to last year's event, reaching 579,337.
The initial target was equivalent to the total transactions of IIMS 2024, which was Rp 6.7 trillion. The number of visitors recorded at last year's event was 562,464 people.
“We are optimistic to see the movement of the national automotive world moving in a positive direction throughout this year,” said Daswar Marpaung, President Director of Dyandra Promosindo in an official broadcast, quoted on Monday (3/3).
During the exhibition, a number of activities were held to liven up the event, provide entertainment, and educate the public.
The concept presented was Your Infinite Autotainment Experience, which included music concerts, collaborations, and business matching, as well as a forum for automotive discussions among stakeholders.
However, one thing to note is the drastic 21 percent decrease in orders for electric motorcycles. Several factors are suspected to be the cause, such as incentive policies that had not been implemented during the exhibition period.
In the future, the organizers affirmed they will present various other innovations and programs to attract more consumers.
“As the project manager of IIMS 2025, we provide this strategy to produce a series of authentic programs so that the automotive sector can continue to rise every year,” said Rudi MF, Project Manager of IIMS 2025.
One program that attracted considerable attention was the collaboration between HW Group and Chery. There was a grand prize draw for one lucky visitor, with the prize being one unit of the Chery Omoda E5 Pure type electric car.
The winner was announced through the official social media of IIMS 2025 and was witnessed by representatives from the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Social Service, a Notary, and representatives from HW and Chery.
Besides IIMS in Jakarta, IIMS Surabaya will be held from May 28 to June 1. This will be followed by IIMS Makassar from June 25-29, 2025.
For your information, IIMS 2025 marked the debut of several new brands from China, such as Geely and Jaecoo. The first product from BYD's premium sub-brand, Denza, the D9, was also brought along with the introduction of the Denza Z9 GT.
