Isuzu D-Max Modification Inspiration: Adventure Overland Concept

PT Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia (IAMI) is present at GIIAS 2025, tempting visitors with a number of superior products.

Appearing at the annual automotive exhibition, this Japanese manufacturer presents the Isuzu D-Max Product Concept. The unit is a creation of CV Delima Mandiri and JP 4x4 Auto Sport.

Through this special modification, it is hoped that their light commercial vehicle can be an inspiration for off-road lovers in the country.

“We want to show an Isuzu D-Max that is not only tough, but also ready to meet the needs of an active and challenging lifestyle in Indonesia,” said Rian Erlangga, Division Head of Business Strategy at PT IAMI at ICE BSD (01/08).

The Isuzu D-Max modification includes several car components including a rooftop tent, awning, front and rear bumpers, and side steps.

As a result, getting in and out of the vehicle is much easier.

Then, the unit's appearance is also more aggressive thanks to the use of MT tires from GT Radial which can support performance on heavy terrain.

The Isuzu D-Max itself relies on the RZ4E 1.9L Turbo Diesel engine. The output of this power source is believed to be capable of producing 147 hp and 350 Nm of torque.

The vehicle's peak torque is achieved from an engine speed of 1,800 - 2,600 rpm. Fuel efficiency is also reliable thanks to the Common Rail system.

The output produced by the unit is then channeled through a 6-speed manual transmission.

The combination of power and efficiency is claimed to be suitable for use on smooth urban roads, as well as for entering off-road areas in various challenging locations.

To maintain safety during the journey, the Isuzu D-Max is equipped with modern safety features including Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, Traction Control, Electronic Stability Control, and the use of a Rear Differential Lock which can regulate the traction of both rear wheels.
