KatadataOTO – The Provincial Government of Central Java continues to indulge vehicle owners. This is because the agency is once again providing relaxation.
Through the Central Java Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda), there is a policy regarding leniency in paying taxes.
“Currently, motor vehicle tax payments made within 30 days after the due date will not be subject to administrative late penalties,” reads the announcement on the @bapenda_jateng Instagram account.
This regulation is expected to encourage and increase compliance among car and motorcycle owners in fulfilling their obligations.
Considering the taxes paid by the public are very useful. They will be used to carry out various facility developments.
Such as roads, street lighting, and other public facilities. So it can be more comfortable and safer when driving.
“Of course, don't forget our obligation to pay motor vehicle tax, because your tax is very meaningful for the development of Central Java,” continued Bapenda Jateng.
The public can immediately enjoy the above relaxation by visiting the nearest Satpas office to their residence.
On the other hand, the policy above is not the only one provided for the people in Semarang, Solo, and surrounding areas. Because there are still a number of programs that can be utilized.
Take for example a campaign titled ‘Central Java Special Program for Merak Putih’. It includes a 13.94 percent discount on the principal PKB (Motor Vehicle Tax).
Then there is still a special discount on the principal BBNKB (Vehicle Title Transfer Fee) of up to 24.70 percent. So residents can take advantage of it immediately.
“This program is only valid from January 5 to March 31, 2025. Remember, you can pay your vehicle tax 30 days before the due date,” they said.
In addition, the Central Java government has also not increased the motor vehicle tax rate, despite having implemented the PKN (Vehicle Tax) and BBNKB (Vehicle Title Transfer Fee) surcharge.
“The motor vehicle tax rate, previously set at 1.5 percent in Regional Regulation (Perda) No. 2 of 2011, has been lowered to 1.05 percent in accordance with Perda No. 12 of 2023,” wrote Bapenda Jateng.
Then, Bapenda Jateng has also adjusted the BBNKB rate. Previously 12.5 percent, it is now set at only 10 percent.
Therefore, there will be no increase in vehicle taxes in Central Java even though the local government will implement the BBNKB and PKB surcharge in 2025.
Riders and drivers will feel indulged by the various new policies above for some time to come.
