KatadataOTO – It hasn't even been a month since Dedi Mulyadi was appointed Governor of West Java, but a number of breakthroughs have already been made.
As he did recently, he distributed a number of official vehicles belonging to the West Java Provincial Government.
From cars to motorcycles, Dedi Mulyadi handed them over to several parties for various purposes.
“Don't have too many (official vehicles), it's a headache. Later, maintenance costs and taxes will pile up on us, making it wasteful,” Dedi said in a video on Tik Tok @dedimulyadiofficial, Monday (24/02).
Dedi further said that the accumulation of official motorcycles and cars actually makes the Provincial Government have to bear various costs.
Therefore, he chose to distribute all official vehicles to a number of OPD (Regional Apparatus Organizations).
On the other hand, the Regional Secretary (Setda) of West Java Province claimed to have immediately followed up on Dedi Mulyadi's instructions.
“In accordance with the Governor's direction, most have been distributed,” said Adi Komar, Head of the Administration Bureau for the Leadership of the West Java Provincial Secretariat, to Antara.
Adi said that Dedi has repeatedly stated that efficiency is not about cutting the budget.
But rather relocating it for community activities or services. So that it can run more optimally.
“The Governor wants to optimize the existing vehicles for operations, for example, supporting the Satpol PP (Public Order Agency) with two-wheeled vehicles. Then the Dishub (Transportation Agency) for a wider range,” Adi continued.
According to Adi, there are a dozen four-wheeled vehicles and five motorcycles that are used to support activities.
Starting from escorts to the operational needs of administrative staff at Gedung Pakuan. So that service to the community is maximized.
“However, there are some vehicles that need to be repaired first,” Adi stated.
Dedi Mulyadi will also rely on the Toyota Innova Zenix as his ride while carrying out his duties as Governor of West Java.
Indeed, Dedi Mulyadi had previously asked the former Acting Governor of West Java not to be bought a new official car.
He mentioned that the budget would be reallocated or used for the welfare of the people in various locations.
