KatadataOTO – The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency today, Sunday (10/08), will implement traffic engineering around the Istiqlal Mosque, Central Jakarta. The policy is being implemented because the National Zikir and Pledge to Defend the Nation event will be held.

The number of participants is expected to be quite large, potentially causing traffic density. Therefore, they must provide a scenario to avoid total congestion.

"The National Zikir and Pledge to Defend the Nation event will be held at the Istiqlal Mosque, Central Jakarta Administrative City, on Sunday, August 10, 2025, from 19:00 WIB until finished," said Syafrin Liput, Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, as reported by Antara (10/08).

The Transportation Agency has also prepared at least five alternative routes from various directions to the Istiqlal Mosque. Starting from the north, east, south, west, to the Kramat/Salemba area.

Then from the east (Cempaka Putih to Pasar Senen), you can go through Letjen Suprapto street, Pasar Senen Underpass, Senen Raya, Kwini II, Abdul Rahman Saleh, Taman Pejambon, Pejambon, East Medan Merdeka, Perwira, and Katedral street.

Then from the Kramat-Salemba direction, you can pass through Salemba Raya, Kramat Raya, Pasar Senen Flyover, Gunung Sahari, Budi Utomo, North Banteng Square, to Katedral street.

Meanwhile, from the south (Senayan), road users can pass through Jenderal Sudirman, MH Thamrin, West Medan Merdeka, Majapahit, Juanda, then make a U-turn towards Gate 7 (As Salam Gate) or go through Pos street, Gedung Kesenian, North Banteng Square, and Katedral street.
