Police Prepare Traffic Diversion in Puncak Bogor for Eid 2025

KatadataOTO – The Bogor Police, West Java, are also preparing for the 2025 Eid homecoming exodus. Especially for the Puncak tourist area.

The Puncak Bogor route, West Java, which stretches from Ciawi, Megamendung, Cisarua to Cianjur, has become one of the choices for travelers this year.

"For the homecoming exodus, the Puncak route is not the main one, but only an alternative. So on the first day of Eid, traffic flow is usually lighter," said AKP R. Rizky Guntama Ganda Permana, Head of the Bogor Police Traffic Unit, on the official website of the National Police Traffic Corps, Monday (17/03).

Even so, Rizky predicts that congestion there will occur from D+1 to D+7 of Eid 2025.

Considering that many people from Jabodetabek (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi) want to travel to the cool-aired region.

Based on the above, the Bogor Police have prepared various anticipatory measures for the upcoming holiday.

"If traffic density exceeds the limit, we will divert the flow to Ciawi, Bogor City, or Sukabumi via the Bocimi Toll Road," he continued.

To ensure the plan runs smoothly during the Eid homecoming and return flows, they will hold Operation Ketupat 2025.

In addition, 300 police personnel will be deployed. All of them will be stationed at vulnerable points along the main and alternative routes of Puncak Bogor.

Furthermore, they have also issued a Joint Decree (SKB) regarding restrictions on three-axle vehicles.

"Traffic engineering such as one-way and odd-even systems will also be implemented, especially when the flow of tourists increases," Rizki affirmed.

On the other hand, the Bogor Police will maintain security on the Puncak alternative routes. This is important to prevent actions by illegal guides that lead to extortion of tourists.

"We will continue to monitor the alternative routes to ensure the comfort and safety of tourists," he concluded.

Puncak Bogor Traffic Engineering Schedule

It should be noted that the Bogor Police will implement a one-way system as well as a stop-and-go system. This will be carried out starting from D-7, D-2, to D+2, and D+5 of the 2025 Eid al-Fitr holiday.

Therefore, the public is expected to adjust their travel schedules to avoid traffic congestion.
