KatadataOTO – Social media is buzzing about the actions of a PO Rosalia Indah driver. He was caught driving recklessly on the Toll Road.
As seen in a video uploaded by the Instagram account @dashcamindonesia, a PO Rosalia Indah bus was speeding.
The bus then drove on the shoulder of the road. However, it suddenly swerved into the rightmost lane.
This dangerous action by the bus driver, named Marco Sony Hutagalung, was immediately met with long honks from other drivers.
However, the bus driver did not accept it. He even followed the car that honked at him into rest area 275 A, leading to an argument.
Upon arrival, the bus driver immediately vented his anger by cursing at the victim with harsh words.
He also blamed the situation, claiming he was in a hurry. Thus, he felt entitled to perform the dangerous maneuver.
On the other hand, the victim tried to de-escalate the situation by apologizing. However, Marco Sony Hutagalung instead slapped the phone of the person recording the video.
“He was very enthusiastically cursing at me with foul language and then slapped my phone until it turned off and restarted,” wrote the victim.
This action by the PO Rosalia Indah driver immediately sparked outrage among netizens. Many condemned Marco's arrogant behavior.
They demanded the company impose strict sanctions. Because it severely endangered the safety of other road users.
Meanwhile, PO Rosalia Indah took immediate action. They provided a clarification regarding Marco Sony's actions on the toll road.
“PT Rosalia Indah Transport expresses its deepest regret over the occurrence of this incident,” read the announcement on the Instagram account @rosaliaindah.official on Friday (12/12).
They also apologized for the driver's actions, considering how it endangered other road users.
Moreover, PO Rosalia Indah stated they have internal regulations that strictly prohibit the use of the road shoulder.
Furthermore, reckless driving, unethical driving behavior, and impolite actions while on duty are prohibited.
“In connection with this, the driver in question has now been relieved of his duties,” they continued.
PO Rosalia Indah will also impose the strictest possible sanctions on the driver, in accordance with company regulations.
They claim to remain committed to maintaining safety, professionalism, and service quality to provide the best travel experience for all customers.
