KatadataOTO – Millions of four-wheeled vehicles left Jabodetabek (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi) during the 2025 Eid homecoming exodus. This has prompted several parties to prepare.
Especially for the return traffic later. This is to prevent vehicle congestion at various points.
Based on the above, PT Jasa Marga, through its subsidiary PT JSS (Jasamarga Japek Selatan), has prepared a 31.25 km functional route for the Sadang-Bojomangu segment of the Japek (Jakarta-Cikampek) II South Toll Road.
“To anticipate a surge in traffic, this 31.25 km functional route will be operated starting April 2, 2025, from 07:00 AM to 5:00 PM WIB at the discretion of the police,” said Lisye Octaviana, Corporate Communication & Community Development Group Head of Jasa Marga, as reported by Antara on Wednesday (02/04).
According to Lisye, the peak of the 2025 Eid return traffic will occur on Sunday (06/04). Therefore, they are opening the Japek II South Toll Road.
This move aims to facilitate the travel of car users from the south (Bandung) towards the Jabodetabek area.
Especially for travelers from the Cipularang Toll Road (Cileunyi-Purwakarta-Padalarang) heading towards the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road in the direction of Jakarta.
“This route is intended for category one vehicles, non-buses, and non-trucks,” Lisye added.
Meanwhile, Charles Lendra, President Director of PT JSS, said that the functional route is designed to help reduce congestion at the Dawuan Interchange KM 66 B.
Because this location is the meeting point for traffic flows from the Trans-Java and Bandung, West Java directions.
To make it easier for drivers, the entire Japek II South Toll Road route has been equipped with directional signs. They are installed starting from 1 km, 500 m, and 200 m before the entrance to Ramp 8 (KM 77 B of the Cipularang Toll Road towards Jakarta).
Furthermore, drivers who wish to use the Japek II South Toll Road will not be charged an additional fee.
Road users will still pay the toll at the Kutanegara Toll Gate (GT) as per the regulations for the Cipularang and Padaleunyi (Padalarang-Cileunyi) Toll Roads.
Four-wheeled vehicle users are also asked to follow the directions of officers in the field. And to obey the applicable signs, including the maximum speed limit allowed.
Then, ensure the vehicle is in prime condition and has a full tank of fuel before entering the Japek II South Toll Road.
