KatadataOTO – The Tomang toll gate will be temporarily closed from Saturday (12/07) to Sunday (13/07). This will take place from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM.

The closure is due to toll road maintenance, specifically pavement reconstruction in the Tomang Interchange Ramp B area towards the Inner City Toll Road. Therefore, the public is advised to adjust their travel times to avoid being affected.

On the Instagram account @official.jmmetropolitan, it was announced that vehicles heading to Semanggi or Cawang will be diverted to the arterial road. Then, turn right towards the Slipo 2 Toll Gate.

Meanwhile, cars heading to Pluit or Soekarno Hatta Airport will also be diverted to the arterial road, then turn left towards the Jelambar 1 Toll Gate.

“Jasa Marga apologizes for the inconvenience caused by this work. We urge road users to anticipate congestion by optimizing the current traffic engineering and ensuring sufficient electronic card balances to avoid congestion when transacting at the toll gate,” the company stated in the caption.

Although it will be carried out in the middle of the night, congestion is still expected. This is because the closure is scheduled for the weekend, when many people spend their holidays traveling by car.

Traffic Engineering at Other Toll Gates

Not only at Tomang, several traffic engineering measures are also being implemented at other toll gates to improve road user comfort. One of these is at Jati Asih, where large-dimension vehicles will be prohibited from passing during certain hours.

The policy will take effect starting Thursday (10/07) and drivers are expected to comply. Moreover, Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad has partnered with various related agencies, including the police, to enforce this policy.

Jasa Marga stated that they have prepared a number of sanctions for drivers who insist on violating the rules.

Such as being charged double the toll rate upon re-entering the toll road. Therefore, drivers are advised to consider alternative routes to ensure smooth mobility.
