KatadataOTO – Soon, people from Jabodetabek (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi) who participated in the 2025 Eid homecoming will be returning to their respective homes.
Korlantas (National Police Traffic Corps) predicts the peak of the 2025 Eid return traffic will begin on Saturday (05/04).
It will then continue on April 6-7, 2025, prompting the police to make various preparations again.
“For the return trip, travelers are usually already tired,” said Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, Head of the National Police Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas Polri), on the @korlantaspolri.ntmc Instagram account on Friday (04/04).
According to Agus, his department has prepared a number of strategic steps. This is to ensure a smooth journey for the travelers.
For example, lane arrangements and the implementation of contraflow and one-way systems during the 2025 Eid return traffic.
“We need to prepare a more cautious and flexible scheme (for the travelers),” continued the Head of the National Police Traffic Corps.
For your information, the police have prepared various options to ensure smooth traffic flow. For instance, since Wednesday (02/04), they have implemented a contraflow system from KM 70 to KM 55.
Furthermore, on Thursday (03/04), they also prepared a local one-way scheme from KM 188 to KM 70. This will be implemented if the volume of 2025 Eid return traffic increases.
In fact, similar traffic management schemes could potentially be extended to KM 246 of the Pejagan Toll Road if deemed necessary.
“If there is a surge in return traffic on April 5 and 6, 2025, we will implement a national one-way system starting from KM 414 of the Kalikangkung Toll Road to facilitate travelers returning to the city,” he affirmed.
On the other hand, there are still a number of strategies to reduce vehicle buildup, such as the use of the functional South Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) II toll road.
This expressway will be operated for 30 kilometers from Sadang to Cibatu to help ease the density of return traffic from the direction of Bandung.
In fact, based on data from Jasa Marga, as of last night, a total of 800,893 four-wheeled vehicles were recorded passing through the functional route.
It should be noted that drivers from the direction of Bandung heading to Jakarta can enter the South Japek II Toll Road and exit at the KM 37 Deltamas Toll Gate.
This is claimed to be able to reduce congestion at KM 66, which is the meeting point for traffic flows from Bandung, Cikampek, and Cipali.
