KatadataOTO – The number of cars produced in Indonesia in April 2025 reached 79,199 units. That number is down 15,988 units or about 16.8 percent from last month's achievement of 95,187 units.

This decrease in production was felt by almost all vehicle manufacturers in the country. The amounts varied and some did not even produce a single car.

Based on Gaikindo data, Toyota is still the manufacturer that produces the most vehicles in Indonesia. Throughout April 2025, they produced 36,939 units, a decrease of 3,506 units compared to March's 40,445 units.

Meanwhile, Mitsubishi Motors managed to take second place by producing 3,249 units in April 2025. That number decreased by 25.6 percent compared to March's 12,702 units.

Honda experienced pressure in April 2025, producing only 2,308 units, a decrease of 63.7 percent from March 2025. At that time, they were able to produce 6,351 units.

However, the Japanese manufacturer admitted to be making production adjustments due to preparations for a new model. Although not specified in detail, the car is believed to be the HR-V Hybrid.

Besides Honda, several other manufacturers that experienced pressure include Mini, which only produced 31 units. Whereas in the previous month, the company was able to produce 111 units.
