April 2025 Chinese Car Sales: Chery Overtakes Denza Again
BYD still leads in April 2025. Below, we have summarized the complete sales data for Chinese car brands in April 2025.

KatadataOTO – Sales of four-wheeled vehicles in Indonesia faced challenges in April 2025. The numerous holidays during the 'mudik' (homecoming) period are believed to be one of the reasons.
However, a number of manufacturers from China maintained their sales amidst these challenges. In first place is BYD (Build Your Dreams) with retail sales reaching 3,531 units.
Its sub-brand, Denza, had to settle for 847 units, a decrease from its previous achievement in March 2025 of 1,801 units.
Denza still only offers one model for Indonesian consumers, the electric-powered MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) Denza D9.

This allowed Chery to climb to second place, with total retail sales of 1,549 units.
It should be noted that Chery has several vehicle models, including ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) and EV (Electric Vehicle).
Soon, PT CSI (Chery Sales Indonesia) will officially announce the price of their first hybrid model in the country, the Chery Tiggo 8 CSH (Chery Super Hybrid).
Next is GAC Aion, which contributed sales of 507 units. In March 2025, the Chinese brand recorded its highest result for the first four months of this year with 712 units.
