LCGC Price Adjustment Nearing End of January, Brio Up by Rp 4 Million

KatadataOTO – The Low Cost Green Car or LCGC is a type of car chosen by many consumers in the country, especially first-time car buyers.

LCGC prices, which are competitive and tend to be low, coupled with easy maintenance and a large dealer network, are the main considerations.

However, their prices continue to be adjusted. Based on KatadataOTO's search, towards the end of January, several models like the Brio experienced an increase.

Previously in early January, the Honda Brio Satya E CVT was offered at around Rp 202.5 million on the road in Jakarta. However, as of January 24, 2026, the figure was seen to have changed to Rp 206.7 million.

But other Honda Brio types, namely the E MT and S MT, have not changed, still offered starting from around Rp 170 million.

The same happened to the Daihatsu Ayla, the model that is the cheapest LCGC in the country. 

The price of this LCGC was raised from around Rp 138.5 million to Rp 142 million on the road in Jakarta. Then, the R MT variant increased to Rp 172 million, previously sold for Rp 168.5 million.

Toyota also made changes to the price of the LCGC Agya. The lowest variant, E MT, is now sold for Rp 173.8 million, a slight increase from the previous price of Rp 173.2 million.

Car price increases at the beginning of the year are not a new thing and often occur due to various factors, such as changes in the exchange rate to an increase in Value Added Tax (VAT).
